Wow. 30,000 followers. My analysis suggests that at least 25% of you are bots. But that’s okay. These days robots can have consciousness and souls too. So the bots deserve to be counted.

X’s algorithm is at its worst ever, and I finally understand Sam’s reply to Elon. There are way too many bots. Yesterday, ~100 bot accounts with OnlyFans links pinned were reposting replies to my tweets. Blocking doesn’t help. Giving up and turning notifications off.

One of the most insane things I found about bots on X: there are thousands of accounts that post “Please unpause my monetization” and they get thousands of comments saying “I hope you get it turned back on, brother.” But when researching why they were paused: None of them were paused. They’re just bots that use the topic to create fake engagement and show up in search—to juice their monetization.

The conversation functionality of X is still fundamentally broken. Threads by large accounts are infested by bots, and charged issues trigger sycophancy and screeching. Why not give thread starters the power to moderate, so they can compete on follower cultivation ability?

I still think the biggest existence risk for X is AI reply bots They're rampant and my understanding of AI is you can only detect an AI reply with a model that's bigger/smarter than the model it's written with That means you're in an endless cat and mouse game for the infinite future So you need some other way to stop AI replies

not to be a conspiracy theorist but i really do believe a lot of social media is filled with paid actors and bots created specifically to make people think that certain beliefs are widely accepted and much more common than they are irl to slowly change public opinion and groom people into accepting these things as good, normal, or fact so that people do not resist as much

I’m seeing more and more Reddit comments with a subtly AI-generated style, even in niche community subreddits where there’s no obvious motive for bots. Makes me wonder if it’s people (a) internalising ChatGPT’s style, or (b) literally using ChatGPT to write their comments.

No. Clankoids is a browser extension that modifies your local view of Twitter/X. We don't scrape data, automate actions, or circumvent rate limits. It's like using an ad blocker.
We get around 95% ('Deep' model) and 83% ('Lite' model) accuracy on obvious users, and around ~69% ('Deep') and 50% ('Lite') on sophisticated ones. You can always reveal filtered content to check for false positives.
One-click whitelist. Whitelisted accounts are never filtered, regardless of signals.
No direct-message content is seen, analyzed, or stored. Clankoids works on supported x.com timeline, profile, bookmark, and tweet-detail views.
When you use the extension, Clankoids captures tweet and account metadata from visible tweets for scoring. If you sign in, we also store your account record, synced settings and rules, and derived verdict or usage records needed to run the product.
The extension currently requires Google sign-in for Clankoids account access and synced settings.
